I don't know what it is about the image of black marker pen on white surface that just satisfies my visual hunger so well, but for some reason, the simplicity and minimal nature of black and white illustration removes all obstacles to truly viewing someone's style. I think this is why style wars really does it for me. I went to one a while back with Debra, at the Juno bar up the road from Liverpool street station, and it was mindblowing.
